It's a MAN-Van

Well, glaciermom and I finally went out and did it. Yup, we finally upgraded one of our vehicles.

Considering that we live 5+ hours away from any family, and the only way to get there is by car, we opted for a minivan. We just love our new van, and hopefully it will be a good vehicle for glacierbaby, Santana, and any other family or gear we are packing.

It was an interesting experience. In fact, the van we wanted, happened to be sold out from under the salesman we were working with. I can say for certainty that he was none-too-happy about this. We did find another we happy with though.

Although this process did remind me why nobody likes buying cars. All the stupid antics. The negotiating*, saying NO a bizzlion times to stupid extras, all the waiting, and how everyone thanked us afterward.

Anyway we now have our "Silverish" colored van. Maybe glaciermom will let me eat waffles in it.

*Our sale actually followed a typical script, including the sales manager in a private office "Screaming" about how we were trying to rip them off. Glaciermom and I nearly laughed our heads off it was soooooo funny. Who falls for that anyway.

Dude, you're *such* the dad now.

Will you be driving the MAN-van out for reunion, or are you flying?

With a rockin' new MAN-van (minus the waffle maker), of course we are driving.

Actually, we have to drive because we will be probably visiting some of glaciermom's family and maybe going to glaciermom's alma mater in SD. And hey, maybe we will take glacierbaby to Mount Rushmore!

Not to mention trying to see at least one Twins game while we are in the area.

(Plus plane tickets just to MN are $350/person minimum, where as we will spend quite a bit less than that for a round trip driving trip.)

Glacierdad,
Don't forget that Mothers' Day is this Sunday!! Glaciermom will be very unhappy if you forget!!! :)

Nope, I've had some gifts for her for almost 2 weeks now. However, Mother's day has been that one day that I have forgotten in the past. (Mostly because in high school, the International Science and Engineering Fair fell in/around Mother's Day.)

I think I've been a little better these past few years though!
